Kraftwerke Reichenau AG

Low-pressure run-of-river power station on the Rhine

The Domat/Ems central station owned by Kraftwerke Reichenau AG is 2.6 km below the confluence of the Anterior and Posterior Rhine. Reichenau power station is the only weir along the 90 km stretch of the Alpine Rhine between the confluence and the point where it opens into Lake Constance. It was built between 1959 and 1962 as a reliable and cost-efficient source of electricity for the then Emser Werke AG and the current EMS-Chemie AG.

The plant has mean annual production of 106.8 GWh. Axpo AG, formerly NOK, has held 85% of the share capital in Kraftwerke Reichenau AG since March 2003. The remaining 15% is held by the Graubünden cantonal authority. Managerial and operational responsibility is provided by Hydro Surselva AG.

Höherer Jahresgewinn – leicht tiefere Energieerzeugung

Die Kraftwerke Linth-Limmern AG (KLL) haben im Geschäftsjahr 2010/11 einen Jahres-gewinn von 6.316 Mio. CHF erzielt. Die Energieerzeugung fiel mit 403 Mio. kWh leicht geringer aus als im Vorjahr.
